Steve Angrisano at the Cathedral on May 5

If you are reading this from our diocese, certainly you knew Steve was coming to our Cathedral. If not, then I don't know how to advertise to you since it was one of the most heavily advertised events I've seen in a long time. It was sponsored by the Jefferson City Life Teen Council. (The council consists of the three Jefferson City parishes.) Because he was asked to do a concert, the diocesan youth ministry office asked him to come earlier in the day and do a leadership conference. So, Steve agreed. Steve has MC'd NCYC a couple of times and will be doing it again this year. Steve MC'd the youth event when Pope John Paul II came to St. Louis and is full time youth minister at a parish in Littleton Colorado. Yes, he talks about the shootings and the death of three of his Youth Group kids and a remarkable story of one who survived. He has a wonderful way of presenting and singing. He is also a recording artist for Catholic music. http://www.spiritandsong.com/artists/steveangrisano

Our youth really enjoyed the leadership day and the concert after the mass. I would estimate about 75 youth for the leadership part of the day, about 250 for mass and probably 350 for the concert. Another highly charged event for those in attendance. May that electricity and grace of the day continue in the participants' lives as they search for what God is calling them to do.
