January 27-January 31; Clearwater Florida for Ongoing formation of priests

Now I am at a conference with priests from all across the United States talking about how their diocese offers on-going formation for priests. It takes some transition getting from seminary to being associate pastor and then from associate pastor to pastor. We want to explore how to make that transition better and what the priests can do better to make it less stressful. Along with that, we are trying to find out how to best do on-going formation with all of the clergy of our diocese.

While it sounds nice we are in Clearwater Florida at he end of January, the schedule is so packed, we might as well be in the middle of a blizzard, because none of us are getting out of the hotel/resort. I plan on making it out before too long, though! Right now as you can tell by the time of posting, it is night time, so too late to be out in the sun.

It will be a good report to take back to our ministry to priest committee.
