Priest Institute October 1-5

Priest Institute is the annual on going education for priests held at the Lake of the Ozarks. This year, our lay people could hear from our presenter if they came to the chancery on Wednesday afternoon. Our topic for the week was "the theology of the priesthood from prior to Vatican II to today. How has that role changed and what will the future hold?" As you can imagine, this was an institute where all the philosophies of what it means to be priest were going to come into play. Dr. Lance Richey from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee Wisconsin did an excellent job for the week as presenter. If anyone is ever looking for a great parish mission speaker or is in need of a theologian to do a presentation, I highly recommend him.

NCYC is just around the corner; so I spoke to a potential donor about purchasing for our NCYC attendees tote bags with the Discover the Priesthood Logo on them. The donor accepted the challenge.
